Liqun Cheng is a Tech Lead Manager at Platforms, where he has been responsible for performance, TCO, and efficiency of 6 generations of servers. His interests range from distributed system software infrastructure to energy proportional computing. Prior to Google, Liqun was a performance architect for 5 generations of Xeon servers at Intel. He received his B.S. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Utah.
