Chi-yao Hong is a tech lead at Google NetInfra where he leads traffic engineering performance and pathing quality. His current interests include optimizing Google's routing infrastructure with an emphasis on availability, scalability and manageability. He received a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a recipient of the Symantec Research Labs Graduate Fellowship (2012), the Best Paper Award from Passive and Active Measurement Conference (2011), and the Master’s Thesis Award from ACM Taipei/Taiwan Chapter (2008).
