I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in May of 2004, receiving a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Sociology. I then graduated from Northeastern University in May of 2006, receiving a MS in Computer Science with a concentration in Information Security. While at RPI I completed an independent study on cryptography, and an undergraduate research project on secure instant messaging. While at NEU I TAed some CS classes and taught CSU101 for one semester. I worked on further development of my SecureIM protocol (switching it from a C++ app to a Java proxy), development of a secure and usable SecureIM user interface, undertook the evelopment of the Dropbox-Online homework submission system to make my TAing life easier and developed some Java applets to explore how changes in the password selection interface impact overall password quality. The work was presented at CHI 2006 and SOUPS 2006. After getting my Masters I jumped to Google and have been there since August 2006.
