K. S. Yim is an experimental computer scientist who is working as a senior software engineer and engineering manager at Google. His current research interests are in on-device machine learning techniques for privacy and safety critical applications. KS holds 27+ United States patents on embedded system management methods and apparatuses, and has published 18+ technical papers on top-ranked journals and conferences. He received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Yim is a co-chair of the industry track of IEEE ISSRE (Software Reliability Engineering) 2017, and has served on multiple program committees of international conferences and workshops (in the fields of fault tolerance computing, software engineering, computer systems, and parallel and distributed computing).
