I study how humans use programs to write programs, with the eventual goal of writing programs that help humans write programs. I received my MS in computer science under Yuriy Brun at University of Massachusetts, and my BS's in computer science and psychology at the University of Maryland while working with Michael Hicks. My current interests surround how developers react to externally-introduced changes in their environment. My usual toolbox includes trace ethnography, surveys, semi-structured interviews, and consensual open-coding.
