Martin Shelton is a User Experience Researcher at Google Chrome. His research focuses on usable privacy and security, and he specializes in work with at-risk groups and the press. Prior to joining Google, Martin worked as a Knight-Mozilla OpenNews fellow with the New York Times, where he conducted user research, and studied the security habits of journalists and civil society groups. Martin earned his Ph.D. in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. His dissertation focused on the security practices of investigative journalists.
